The 2004 season was the fourth season of the Australian Ice Hockey League , the highest Australian ice hockey league . The West Sydney Ice Dogs became champions for the first time in the club's history .

mode

In the regular season, each of the six teams played a total of 20 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a draw and a defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after normal time.
