Austrian Football Division One 2019

The Austrian Football Division One 2019 was the 34th season of the second highest Austrian division in American football . It began on March 23, 2019 and ended on July 27, 2019 with the Silver Bowl XXII in the NV Arena in St. Pölten . The Hohenems Blue Devils became champions with a 17:10 against the Bratislava Monarchs .

mode

The mode remained the same as in the previous year, each team competes against the four teams from their own conference in a home and an away game. The Bratislava Monarchs were last placed in the Austrian Football League 2018 and had to compete in Division I again this year, while the Amstetten Thunder won the last Silver Bowl and thus left the league. After the Maribor Generals could not win a game in the last division of Division I and thus took last place, they were replaced by the winner of Division II , the Telfs Patriots .

In the playoffs, the first in the group plays with home rights against the second in the other group. Its winners played in the Silver Bowl XXII for promotion to the AFL.
