Automeccanica was a Greek manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Former Autokinitoviomihania Ellados employees founded the company in 1979 and began manufacturing automobiles. In 1988 Ellados was taken over. Production ended in 1995.

The company manufactured the Daihatsu Charade under license . In addition, an open recreational car called the Zebra was created on this basis . About 2000 copies of this model were made until production was discontinued in 1985. 1985 began the license production of the Lada Niva and the development of a convertible on this basis.
