Petros Petropoulos AEBE is a Greek company in the field of vehicle construction.
Company history
Petros Petropoulos founded the company in Thessaloniki in 1922 . He sold commercial vehicles , overhauled engines , manufactured engine parts and manufactured motor vehicles . In 1948 the company moved to Athens . In 1956 the production of tractors was added and later also forklifts . The brand name was Petropoulos . The company is now active in import and trade .
vehicles
According to one source, the company initially assembled cars from Ford and, in the 1930s, cars from Willys-Overland, and commercial vehicles from Diamond T and International Harvester . The company itself specifies the period of assembly as 1922 to 1951 and names cars from Willys-Overland as well as trucks and buses from Diamond T and International Harvester.
1956 began with the production of tractors based on a design by International Harvester with the model Π-35 . A diesel engine from Perkins Engines provided the drive . A little later, the more powerful Π-55 model was added.
In 1974 the all-wheel drive Unitrak truck series appeared , which was in production until 1984.
