The Auxois is a river in France that runs in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises under the name Ruisseau du Moulin du Bois in the municipality of Lormes , in the Morvan Regional Nature Park . Only below Lormes he takes the name Auxois, dehydrated generally in a westerly direction and ends after 23 kilometers on the southwest municipal boundary of Ruages as right tributary of the Yonne , which in this area the ship channel Canal du Nivernais accompanied.
