The Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation mbH is an owner-managed agency for brand perception with its headquarters in Munich .

history

The company was founded in 1985 by Martin Schnaack and Claudia Langer, initially under the name Avantgarde Veranstaltungs GmbH . While Claudia Langer has since left the company, Martin Schnaack is still CEO of the company, which today operates under the name Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation mbH . Other managing directors are Alexander Böttcher, Guido Emmerich and Robert Müller. After it was founded, Avantgarde Veranstaltungs GmbH first appeared as an organizer of fashion fairs and as an advertising agency . Today the agency is active in the field of experience marketing and is responsible for brand events, state-of-the-art shows and interactive installations for advertising purposes. According to its own statements, Avantgarde deals "with the emotional connection between brand and consumer".

Popular campaigns

During the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, Avantgarde provided British sprinter Linford Christie with blue contact lenses that featured a white Puma logo . The International Olympic Committee forbade Christie from wearing the lenses during the race, which is why he presented them at a press conference and thus triggered international media coverage.

The “Mission Mini” and “X-Box Play Together 2003” campaigns also attracted greater attention. The “Mission Mini” campaign started in September 2002 and was carried out by 21 national teams. They had the task of driving through Barcelona in minis to get to the bottom of a crime story. The special feature of the “X-Box Play Together 2003” campaign was the possibility of playing against each other or in a network in pop-up stations. This technique was still a novelty in 2003.
