The Avenida Juan B. Justo is one of the main thoroughfares in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires . Beyond the city limits, it continues to the Partido Tres de Febrero . The Avenida was named after the Argentine politician Juan B. Justo , co-founder of the Socialist Party of Argentina .

The Avenida Juan B. Justo is one of the longest streets in the city, runs from east to west and crosses ten districts:

It starts in Palermo , then leads via Villa Crespo , Caballito , Villa General Miter , Villa Santa Rita , Floresta , Vélez Sársfield , Villa Luro and Versalles to Liniers .

She crosses thereby u. a. the following major streets: Avenida Córdoba , Avenida Corrientes , Avenida Warnes , Avenida Honorio Pueyrredón , Avenida San Martín , Avenida Lope de Vega and Avenida General Paz .

The Avenida was built in three sections: The first construction section between Avenidas Santa Fe and Nazca was inaugurated on July 9, 1937. It was then continued to Avenida Segurola, the last to be followed by the section to Avenida General Paz , which was built between 1950 and 1953.

When it opened, it was given its current name. In 1950 it was renamed Avenida 17 de Octubre , and in 1955 it was renamed to its original name.
