Avery Milton Williamson (* 9. March 1992 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Tennessee Titans as an inside linebacker from 2014 to 2017 . He has been under contract with the New York Jets since 2018 .

college

Williamson attended the University of Kentucky and played for their team, the Wildcats (wild cats), College Football . In 49 games he scored 296 tackles .

NFL

Tennessee Titans

Williamson was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the 5th round of the 2014 NFL Draft as 151st overall. He was able to establish himself in his rookie season and was used in all games, twelve times as a starter . In 2015 and 2016 he was the first Titans player to set more than 100 tackles for two seasons in a row.

New York Jets

In March 2018 he moved to the New York Jets , with whom he signed a three-year contract. With 116 tackles, he had his most successful year to date. He had to sit out the entire 2019 season after tearing a cruciate ligament in a preseason game .
