Avdiivka ( Ukrainian Авдіївка ; Russian Авдеевка Awdejewka ) is a village in the eastern Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 2000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1674 (another source mentions the year 1596) had 2825 inhabitants at the end of the 19th century and in 1971 2717 people lived here. From August 26, 1941 to September 18, 1943 the village was occupied by the Wehrmacht . Avdiivka is the only village of the same name, 77.74 km² large district council in the north of Sosnytsia Rajon .
The village is located at an altitude of 171 m halfway between the district center of Sosnytsya, 40 km to the south-west, and the city of Nowhorod- Siverskyj to the north-east . The Chernihiv Oblast Center is located 125 km west of Avdiivka.
In the village, the territorial road T-25-19 meets the regional road P-12 .
