Axel Jennewein (* 26. September 1973 in Neumarkt ) is a former German Volleyball - national team .

Axel Jennewein played in the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt until 1993 . Then he moved to the Bundesliga club 1. VC Hamburg and a year later to 1. SC Norderstedt . In 1995 the setter went to Lake Constance for VfB Friedrichshafen , with whom he won three German championships and two DVV cup victories . There was also a second and a third place in the Champions League . Jennewein was regularly elected to top positions in the rankings of German volleyball . In 2000 he went to the Italian second division team Pallavolo Lamezia and a year later to Spain to Portol Palma Mallorca , where he ended his career in 2003.

Axel Jennewein played 49 international matches for the German national team .
