Axel Melzener
Axel Melzener (born November 7, 1975 in Solingen ) is a German screenwriter , author , game designer and lecturer at the Interspherial script school.
Live and act
Melzener began his career in 1994 as a story writer and game designer for video and computer games . In 1996 he began studying screenwriting and creative producing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg. During his studies he wrote more than a dozen scripts for short films before he graduated in 2001 . After his studies, he founded the typewriters office with Jørn Precht and Frank Weiss , which was responsible for the scripts of several successful television productions such as Die Goldenen Reiter or Trautes Heim . The three authors were winners for the best sitcom concept for the Sat.1 Talents Award.
In 2004 he wrote the screenplay for the movie Abgefahren - With full throttle in love , since 2020 he has been the scriptwriter and creator of the ZDFneo series Dunkelstadt by director Aslı Özge .
In addition to screenplays, Melzener also writes non- fiction and has published the non-fiction book Writing Short Film Scripts : The First Steps to the First Film in Sieben-Verlag.
Melzener has been a lecturer at the Interspherial Scriptwriting School in Stuttgart since 2001 , and has also worked as a lecturer in the Philippines , Mallorca and Zurich .
