Axel Prasuhn

Axel Prasuhn (born June 14, 1945 in Bennemühlen near Hanover ) is a German jazz musician (vocals, saxophone, flute).

Live and act

Prasuhn wanted to be an opera singer when he was four years old; From the age of seven he received musical training. During school he became a member of a beat band. At the age of 20 he discovered jazz. From 1966 to 1969 he studied veterinary medicine until he broke off his studies for musical reasons and also trained as a music teacher in Hanover. He played in various bands, first at StoreEvil , from 1973 in the sextet and in the big band of Joe Viera . He also worked with Benny Bailey , with Virginia Williams and from 1981 with Richard Wiedamann . With Helmut Nieberle he was active in Voice & Strings , Booboo's Jive and his Axel Prasuhn Quartet ; He also sang in Lothar Krist's Hannover Big Band and the René Walden Big Band in Munich. He can also be heard on records by Günter Fuhlisch and André Rebstock.

As a lecturer for saxophone and singing, he worked from 1976 in Kassel, Duisburg and Regensburg.
