Jochen Rose
Jochen Rose (born August 2, 1941 in Göttingen ; † May 29, 2010 ) was a German jazz trumpeter .
Live and act
Rose first learned violin and guitar before turning to the trumpet in 1955. He played in school bands. In 1960 he appeared as a member of the Storyville jazz band from Hanover in the 1961 television film Liebe . Between 1963 and 1968 he studied business administration ; During this time he played in various bands that were based in the Jazz Club Hannover . In 1968 he founded the rock jazz band Store Evil (until 1977). Between 1975 and 1986 he was a member of Joe Viera's sextet and big band ; 1976/77 he was also active in the rock band Harvey Cooper . He later played Dixieland with the Cake Walkers and from 1981 with the Hot Peppers . From 1986 he belonged to the Old Merry Tale jazz band from Addi Münster , with whom he also recorded a Christmas album; since 1988 he was also a member of Lothar Krist's Hannover Bigband . Between 1993 and 1997 he was part of the Cannonball Adderley Memorial Band ; In 1996 he played trumpet parts in the films Männerpension and Dumm ran . Tom Lord recorded 18 jazz recordings between 1976 and 1999; he can also be heard on albums by Harlis and Manfred Maurenbrecher .
