Ayub Daud ( Arabic أيوب داؤود Ayyub Da'ud , DMG Aiyūb Dāʾūd ; Born February 24, 1990 in Mogadishu , Somalia ) is a Somali soccer player . Daud can be used both as a left winger in midfield and in attack .

Career

Daud came to Cuneo in northern Italy with his family at the age of five and initially played for the local club AC Cuneo. From 2000 Daud was under contract with Juventus Turin , where he went through all youth teams. In 2009 he won the prestigious Torneo di Viareggio with the Juventus Primavera , for which he had played since 2007, and was the top scorer in this tournament with eight goals .

Daud made his debut in the professional team of Juventus on March 14, 2009 in a 4-1 home win in the Serie A game against FC Bologna , when he was substituted on by Claudio Ranieri in the 88th minute for Sebastian Giovinco . Daud is the first Somali player in history to play in the top Italian division.

In July 2009 he switched to FC Crotone on loan . This was followed by further lending deals with lower-class clubs. After positions at AC Lumezzane , Cosenza Calcio and AS Gubbio , Daud moved to FC Chiasso in Switzerland in 2013 . There he played nine times in the Challenge League in the 2012/13 season . In August 2013 he was signed by the Hungarian club Honvéd Budapest , where he was under contract until 2015.
