Azizbek Abdugufaron

Azizbek Abdugufaron (* 6. March 1992 in Qo'rg'ontepa , Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek boxers in the super middleweight division and currently undefeated.

Amateur career

Abdugufaron participated in the 17th World Boxing Championships in 2013 , which took place in Almaty , Kazakhstan . There he beat Jovette Jean by technical knockout in round 1 and Navruz Dzhafoyev and Aleksandar Drenovak each on points.

Due to an injury, however, Abdugufaron could not compete in the semi-finals and thus not win a medal .

Professional career

Abdugufaron started his professional career in 2016 and was able to win his first 4 fights early. In his third fight he also won the vacant Asian championship title of the World Boxing Council (WBC for short) when he won the previously undefeated Thai Chaloemporn Sawatsuk (17-0-0) in a 12-round battle in the first Round knocked out hard. In his fourth fight he won against the experienced Alexander Bajawa (record 41-2-4). In February 2017, Abdugufaron defended his title when he defeated the even more experienced Sirimongkhon Iamthuam (91-2-0) over 12 rounds by a unanimous decision of the judge. Also unanimously on points, he won against Alfonso Tissen on March 12 of the following year.
