Bäch SZ is a village in the communities of Freienbach and Wollerau in the Swiss canton of Schwyz . The village is located on Lake Zurich and in the north meets the Zurich canton border. Bäch is a street village, i. H. the majority of the buildings are on the main street. The Bächau is a small peninsula. Bäch SZ is divided into the communities of Freienbach and Wollerau on the Krebsbach.

Bäch is first mentioned in 972 as Bachiu . The trading post was the hub for the delivery of salt around Lake Zurich. Over time it became less important.

The place was formerly a carnival stronghold. Today the Bächer masked ball is still known in the surrounding communities.
