Bärbel Wilde

Bärbel Wilde (born October 15, 1950 in Bocholt ) is a German Protestant pastor , author and speaker . She became known as a speaker of evangelism and author of Christian literature through the "Church Days under the Word".

Life

Wilde attended the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium Lüdenscheid from 1960 to 1969 . From 1969 to 1974 she studied Protestant theology in Münster , Tübingen and Erlangen . She completed her studies in 1974 with her first theological exam and then worked as a vicar for a year at the German Tent Mission , on whose board she was later active until 1996. In 1976 she passed the second theological exam. From 1977 until her retirement in 2008 she worked as a pastor of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia at the Christ Church in Lüdenscheid . In addition to her work as a pastor, Wilde published various books on Christian topics in Johannis-Verlag .

Honorary positions

As an appointed member, Wilde was the deputy of television presenter Peter Hahne in the 10th synod of the EKD . Since February 2nd, 2008 she has been on the Presidium of World Vision Germany . She is the chairwoman of the Lüdenscheid sponsoring group “Community Days under the Word”, a series of evangelistic events that she set up and organized with Pastor Paul Deitenbeck in the 1970s. For 20 years she held morning services on WDR and several ZDF television services. She is a board member of the Christian Media Association KEP , which she chaired from 1997 to 2002, from 1997 to 2007 headed the Biblical Women’s Working Group , of which she has been deputy chairman since then. Wilde is the chairwoman of the Evangelical Alliance in Lüdenscheid. Since 2010 she has been a member of the supervisory board of the Christian special interest channel ERF-Medien in Wetzlar .
