Bärsbach (formerly also Bersbach ) is a district of the municipality Heiligkreuzsteinach in the Odenwald . The place forms with Lampenhain , Hilsenhain , Vorderheubach and the small homestead Hinterheubach the district Lampenhain.

The place belonged to the municipality of Lampenhain until December 31, 1974, which was then united with Heiligkreuzsteinach. Around 150 people live in Bärsbach.

location

Bärsbach is a high-altitude district of Heiligkreuzsteinach. It is about 3 km northwest of the eponymous municipality seat at about 415  m above sea level. NHN on the eastern slope of the ridge against the valley system of the Grundelbach running west to the Weschnitz (" Gorxheimer Tal"). The left upper course of the Lenzenbach , which flows into the upper Steinach from the right before Heiligkreuzsteinach and drains southwards, arises in the village in an already noticeable valley basin. Bärsbach has a soft patch of orchards and stretches along the district road L 4123, which follows the creek basin down from the higher Hilsenhain. Less than 400 meters from the village there is hillside and high-altitude forest in the east, south and west, and less than 250 meters in the north, the neighboring village of Hilsenhain on the common clearing island begins .
