The building with the postal address Böttcherstraße 23 is a listed building on Böttcherstraße in Stralsund .

The five-story , plastered gabled house was built in 1753 as a storage building; in 1801 it was extended to the north. The simple facade has a central arched portal , above which there are six hatches and an elevator.

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 118.

Until 2014, the former warehouse was used as a branch of the Stralsund Cultural History Museum . As the fire protection requirements in the building were not met, the storage facility was closed to visitors in February 2014. The city of Stralsund as the owner would like to sell the building.
