Bülent Ertuğrul (born August 17, 1978 in Denizli ) is a former Turkish football player . Due to his place of birth and his many years of work for Denizlispor, he is strongly associated with this association. With over 200 first and second division games for Denizlispor, he is on the list with the most appearances in the club's history. On fan and club pages he is seen as one of the most important players in the club's history.
Career
Ertuğrul began club football in the youth of Denizlispor and received a professional contract here in 1998. He then played for this club for almost ten years, including in the UEFA Cup in the 2002/03 season . He was given in the first seasons as a loan player to various clubs in the lower Turkish leagues.
In the summer of 2008 he moved to Eskişehirspor and rose here to team captain. In the summer, on instructions from coach Ersun Yanal, his expiring contract was not extended, so Ertuğrul had to leave the club.
For the 2012/13 season he moved within the league to promoted Sanica Boru Elazığspor . The main reason for the move was the fact that he was already working with the coach of Elazığspor with Bülent Uygun at Eskişehirspor.
After only one season at Eskişehirspor, Ertuğrul moved back to his hometown and his former club Denizlispor .
