Bürger is a satirical Polish film from 2014. The film by director and leading actor Jerzy Stuhr based on the life story of a Polish Jedermann the history of Poland over the past 60 years.

action

As a result of an accident, the Polish Everyman Jan Bratek ends up in a hospital. Here he remembers episodes of his life. Most of these episodes follow chronologically backwards. Jan remembers the ups and downs during the time of Stalinism , Solidarność , martial law , the turning point and democracy . Again and again he realizes that his fellow men are not what they seem, and Jan is often enough there as a loser.

Jerzy Stuhr's film is partly autobiographically inspired. It was produced by Opus Film . The German premiere took place on April 23, 2015 as part of the GoEast Festival in Wiesbaden .
