Maciej Jerzy Stuhr (born June 23, 1975 in Krakow ) is a Polish film and theater actor .

Life

Maciej Stuhr, son of actor and director Jerzy Stuhr , made his film debut as a child at the side of his father in Kieślowski's Decalogue, Ten .

He subsequently co-founded the successful cabaret ensemble Po żarcie (1995 to 1999), most of the texts of which were written by him. After completing a psychology degree at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow (1999), Maciej Stuhr finally moved to the State Drama School PWST , also in Cracow (until 2003). At that time he was already involved in various film and television films - his acting performance as "Hipolit Wielosławski" in early spring , an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stefan omeromski , earned him a nomination for the Polish Film Prize in the Best Supporting Actor category .

Maciej Stuhr, who also works as a stage actor at the Warsaw Dramatic Theater , presented both the XXXI awards ceremony in 2006. Polish film festival in Gdynia (together with TV presenter Grażyna Torbicka) as well as the European Film Awards 2006 ceremony in Warsaw (together with French actress Sophie Marceau ). He also moderated the European Film Prize 2016 in Wroclaw .
