The Büttelberg is 530 m above sea level. NN high, wooded elevation in the northern part of the Frankenhöhe in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).
The mountain rises around 3 km south of Marktbergel and is located on the southern edge of the municipality. The district of Ermetzhof is at its western end , and federal road 13 runs to the northeast . The Büttelberg broadcasting station of the Bavarian radio station of the same name has been located on the mountain since 1952 .
