history
B'z made their debut with "Dakara Sono Te wo Hanashite" on September 21, 1988. Their first big hit was the mini-album "Bad Communication" released the following year. Shortly thereafter, they became one of the most successful Japanese rock bands. Since their fifth single, they have always reached one of the top positions in the Japanese charts.
In 2002, B'z gave their first international live show in the USA .
In their career, B'z have often worked with international musicians such as Aerosmith , Billy Sheehan , Pat Torpey and others. While Koshi Inaba with Slash collaborated at the first solo album with the song SAHARA, 2010 Tak Matsumoto with the American has jazz guitarist Larry Carlton released a joint album, Take your pick , that in February 2011 the Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album won Has.
These and other solo projects of the past few years briefly led to rumors of separation, but these fell silent with the release of their new album The Circle .
Like other artists, B'z was hit by the triple catastrophe of March 11th. The band was supposed to release their 48th single Sayonara Kizudarake no Hibiyo on March 30th, but postponed it to April 13th. B'z is the only Japanese band to take part in the Tsunami Relief project introduced by Linkin Park . The project aims to help the victims of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami . On August 31, 2011, B'z played with the band Linkin Park on a Secret Show . The show took place in a small, personal location in Los Angeles on August 31, 2011. The location was only given to those who received the tickets. The fans collected 350,000 US dollars for this. 100% of the proceeds support children and families affected by the Tōhoku earthquake in 2011 and the tsunami.
Some songs by B'z were also used in a shortened form as the opening or ending for the anime series Detective Conan . Among other things, the 49th single Don't Wanna Lie was used as the ending of Detective Conan's 15th anime film and as the opening of the TV series since the beginning of April 2011. This single was released on June 1st.
