BLitZ - Bonn literary newspaper

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

BLitZ - Bonner literary newspaper was a Bonn literary magazine that was initially published by Ernst-Edmund Keil , Ludwig Verbeek and Udo Weinbörner . The zero number appeared in December 1986, the numbers 1–4 (1987/88) were published by Hubert Katzmarz in the Die Mücke publishing house . By the time it was discontinued in 1996, 25 issues had appeared, from No. 5/6 onwards edited by Udo Weinbörner and Michael Starcke .

concept

The editors of BLitZ made it their task to follow the events of the Bonn literary scene meticulously. A press review bundled the coverage of local feature pages, reviews subjected new publications by local authors to a critical appraisal and literary events and initiatives were documented almost completely. Primary literature also found its place, both from the pen of local authors and from supraregional greats such as Martin Walser , Peter Härtling , Guntram Vesper or Herrad Schenk . The newspaper, which consisted of unstapled, interleaved sheets of paper, was printed on thick, rough paper that quickly yellowed “true to style”. The print product (twelve to 16 pages, print run: 1000) was available free of charge in local bookshops and was displayed at well-known cultural institutions. Upon request, the literary newspaper was also sent nationwide by subscription.
