Ernst-Edmund Keil (born December 12, 1928 in Duisburg - Huckingen ) is a German writer .

Life

Ernst-Edmund Keil grew up in Düsseldorf , Lüdenscheid , Münster , Berlin and Rosenheim . He attended grammar school in Düsseldorf and after graduating from high school studied German , English and art history at the University of Bonn . During his studies he began to publish journalistic works for the local press and poetry as well as to appear as a reciter . After passing the state examination , he temporarily worked as a high school teacher . In 1963 he went to Spain , where he worked until 1967 as an editor for German and 1967 to 1973 as director of the Department of German philology at the University of Valencia taught. In addition, translated it Spanish Literature into German , but was also involved in the translation of German prose , poetry and plays into Spanish . After his return to Germany he carried out various activities, including as a high school teacher, lecturer at an adult education center , publisher and reciter . He has been a freelance writer since 1988 . After a stay in Bavaria , Keil was temporarily based in Bonn , Schuld (Ahr) and Bad Neuenahr . From 1997 to 2010 he lived in Sinzig - Bad Bodendorf , since then he has lived in Tegernsee / Upper Bavaria. Ernst-Edmund Keil is the author of short stories , essays and poems ; he also works as an editor and translator . He is a member of the Association of German Writers (VdÜ).
