Başçatak is a village in the district Akdağmadeni the Turkish province of Yozgat . Başçatak is located about 128 km southeast of the provincial capital Yozgat and 24 km south of Akdağmadeni. According to the last census, Başçatak had 217 inhabitants (as of December 2010). The population consists mainly of Ossetians .
