Baadshah - The King of Love ( Hindi : बादशाह , bādśāh ) is a Hindi film by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla from 1999. It is a cross-genre Bollywood mix of mistaken comedy and political thriller in which Shahrukh Khan and the Twinkle Khanna, who was still unknown at the time , is involved in a love story as well as in a political and environmental scandal.

The unsuccessful private detective Raj, who calls himself "Baadshah" (dt. King), is supposed to break the heart of the beautiful Seema for the rich Jhunjhunwala so that she agrees to an arranged marriage. But Raj falls in love with her, which leads to entanglements. In addition, Raj is working on another assignment in the investigation of which he is mistaken for the CBI agent Deepak. The professional killer Moti is targeting him so that his client, the industrial Thaper, can have an important politician from Goa murdered without hindrance. The courageous politician Gayetri Bachchan threatens Thaper with a lawsuit after 500 people were killed in a poison gas accident in his factory. Raj has little time to prevent the murder and clear up the misunderstandings.
