Baba of all Babas is the second studio album by the rapper Xatar . It was released on May 1, 2015 on Alles oder Nix Records . The album features guest contributions from SSIO , Haftbefehl , Schwesta Ewa , Olexesh and Teesy .
history
Xatar was sentenced to eight years in prison on May 9, 2011 for robbing a gold truck. His previous album 415 , named after the door number in the Rheinbach prison , was recorded with a dictation machine in his cell.
“Of course that was weird. You're talking to sales partners on the phone and they think why this idiot whispers all the time. I can't explain to them that I'm standing in the farthest corner of my cell and under no circumstances can I risk getting caught. "
On December 5, 2014, he was released from the Rheinbach prison. Shortly thereafter, he began producing his new album, which was to be titled Baba of all Babas . In contrast to the previous album, it was completely recorded in the studio. The album was released on May 1, 2015 on the label Alles oder Nix Records , which was founded by Xatar himself.
The album reached number 1 in the German album charts on May 8, 2015 and sold over 40,000 times.

The album received positive reviews shortly after its release. Gucci Oli wrote for rap.de : "The album sounds grown-up in a good sense - not boring or desperate, but confident and with a calm, but in case of doubt a powerful hand."
