The Babenstuberhütte is an alpine club hut of the Turner-Alpen-Kränzchen section of the German Alpine Club in the Kaiser Mountains in Tyrol .

The Munich master stonemason and city councilor Karl Babenstuber built the small refuge , which was inaugurated on July 26, 1894, on the summit of the Ellmauer Halt . Since 1983 it has been a little below the summit.

In the Museum St. Johann in Tirol is a replica of the historic Babenstuber Hut. This museum room can be reached via a ladder. From there you can look out over the Kaiser Mountains through a window. Looking down you can see a relief model of the Kaiser Mountains with a view like from the stratosphere .
