Babina Greda is a place and a municipality in the Vukovar-Syrmia County , Slavonia Region in Eastern Croatia .

The place is about 40 km southwest of Vukovar on the European route 70 . The Sava River , which also forms the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina , is only about 2 km south of Babina Greda.

In 2011, Babina Greda had 3,572 residents, 99.27 percent of whom were Croatians .
