Baby Dolls Behind Bars is an American erotic crime comedy directed by Fred Olen Ray (under the pseudonym Nicholas Medina) from 2012. It parodies the film genre of women's prison films .
action
Notorious thief Maggie Gray is suspected of continuing to be involved in theft even though she is already in jail after a failed break-in. In order to clarify the circumstances of the thefts that are still taking place, the young police officer Sissy Dunlop is smuggled undercover into the same prison in which Maggie Gray is also sitting. For this purpose, she is sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in a pretended court case for theft and handed over to the prison officer Grell. It turns out that Grell is carrying out the thefts together with her inmate Gray and that Sissy Dunlop's superior Inspector Hartford is also involved. Gray and Grell pretend to let Sissy take part in the next raid, but betray her while driving and try to pin all the thefts on her. She is eventually set free with the help of her attorney Jack Randolph after she seduces law enforcement officer Grell and finally receives a confession from her.
The film contains a total of seven sex scenes, three of them between male and female protagonists and three between two female characters and a shower scene with three actresses.

The film was produced by the Synthetic Filmwerx production company . From the summer of 2012 it was broadcast several times at fixed times and "on demand" on the Cinemax network. It was also released on DVD as a 3D film by Retromedia .
reception
The film received mostly positive ratings. In particular, the achievements of Jazy Berlin, Erika Jordan and Christine Nguyen received positive reviews. Only with Dr. Gore's Movie Reviews was negative. The film is cited as one of the weaker ones in the work of Fred Olen Ray, especially due to the lack of variety compared to other adult films by the director. Only the portrayal by Christine Nguyen is highlighted positively.
