Voodoo Dollz is an American adult comedy by director Fred Olen Ray under the pseudonym Nicholas Medina, which was shot in 2008 as a television production and for the DVD market.

action

Christina visits the "Collinsport School for Girls", whose director Miss Anton catches her having sex with classmate Meg (Kitty Katzu). As a result, Christina is sent to another school, the "Dunwich School for Girls". There she shares a room with Maria. Besides Maria and Christina, there are only two other students (Jilly and Sandra) as well as Miss Santana, Miss Dambahla and the caretaker Jeff in the school due to vacation. Maria and Jeff are in love with each other, but she doesn't have the only man in the school to herself, but has to share him with the other girls. Since Maria's family practices voodoo, she creates a voodoo doll for each of the girls to torture them. When she tries to use her magic to get Jilly to throw herself off a cliff, Jeff is able to intervene at the last moment.

Christina gets into other problems shortly afterwards: She is caught and tied to a cross. Miss Dambahla, Miss Santana and their former directors Miss Anton and Maria pay homage to a being in a temple and plan to sacrifice Mary as a virgin. Jeffrey accidentally notices what's going on and rushes to Christina's rescue. He sets the temple on fire and the four wicked women remain in the school that burns down.

background

The film was produced by Ray's production company American Independent Productions and distributed by his company Retromedia Entertainment . From December 2008 it was broadcast several times at fixed times and "on demand" on the Cinemax chain . The DVD was released on January 29, 2009.

The building, which serves as the set for the “Dunwich School for Girls”, was also used as a backdrop in Ray's film Ghost in a Teeny Bikini .

reception

At Tars Tarkas, the film is received very positively with nine out of ten points. The film is said to be a successful parody of older films that show witch school girls. Also with Dr. Gore's Movie Reviews rated the film as above average for the genre. Voodoo Dollz is referred to as a "Fred Olen Rays triumph", especially because of the large number of female actors compared to just one male actor.
