Alexandra Andrejewna Antonowa ( Russian Александра Андреевна Антонова ; born May 5, 1932 in Teriberka ; † October 8, 2014 in Lowosero ; ( North Sami ) Sandra Antonova , ( Kildinsamisch ) Са̄нндрэ Антонова ) was a language-active Sami writer from Russia .

Life

Alexandra Antonova graduated from the Institute of the Peoples of the North in Leningrad in 1956 as a teacher of Russian language and literature . She returned to the Kola Peninsula and worked as a teacher in the village of Lowozero and later became active as a language activist and writer . She died in her hometown on October 8, 2014.

In addition to her work as a Russian teacher in the boarding school in Lowosero, Aleksandra Antonova has also regularly worked as a consultant for linguists , e. B. for Georgi Kert in the 1980s and recently for a language documentation project led by Jurij Konstantinowitsch Kusmenko . In 1976 she was, together with the Russian pedagogue Boris Glukhov , in one of Rimma Kurutsch established research group at the education department of the Central Committee of the CPSU of Murmansk Oblast hired as kildinsamische native language teacher at a new written language and teaching materials for Kildinsamisch participate. Together with linguists from the Academy of Sciences of the USSR , Antonova and her colleagues revised the orthography that was no longer used since 1937 and developed a new written language standard. In 1979 this new Cyrillic orthography was presented for the first time and used in experimental language courses. In 1982 the ABC book written by Antonova was published as the first Kildinsamische book to be written in the new orthography.

Antonova was a very productive writer and translator . With the translation of Astrid Lindgren's Pippi Longstocking , published shortly before her death, she created the most extensive Kildinsamischen literary text to date.
