The Baddinsgill Reservoir is a reservoir built in 1930 in Scotland . In the south the lake ends with an earth wall.
geography
The approximately 910 m long and a maximum of 290 m wide lake is located in the north of the Council Area Scottish Borders in the Pentland Hills . It occupies an area of 29.1 hectares . Around four kilometers to the north are the borders with Edinburgh and East Lothian . The hamlet of Carlops is three kilometers east and the village of West Linton 4.5 kilometers southeast.
To the southwest rises the Byrehope Mount (536 m), northeast of the Grain Heads (532 m) and east of Mount Maw (535 m).
Various mountain streams feed the small reservoir, of which Lyne Water, which rises on the slopes of the East Cairn Hills, is the main tributary. The Lyne Water flows down on the south bank. It drains into the Tweed east of Peebles .
