The Badische Spargelstraße (opened in 1994) is a 136 km long tourist route through the northern Baden asparagus growing area . A cycle path runs parallel to this .

It leads from Schwetzingen via Hockenheim , Reilingen , St. Leon-Rot to Bruchsal , Graben-Neudorf , Karlsruhe , Bietigheim and Rastatt to Scherzheim , a district of Lichtenau .

During the asparagus season you can buy fresh asparagus directly from the farmer. During this time, many small asparagus festivals on this route are a tourist attraction, which is also linked to the local gastronomy.
