Baharözü is a municipality in the Ulaş District of the Sivas Province in Turkey . Their landmark is a rock, which is also shown in the municipal coat of arms.
geography
The community area is divided into 42% forest, 35% agriculture and 21% built-up area. Baharözü lies between Ulaş and Kangal . The neighboring communities are Yapali and Kurtlukaya , neighboring villages are Küçük- and Büyükyapalı, Aylı, Eskiköy, Söğütçük, Güney, Kazmağara, Alaca, Kurtlukaya.

Sivas is approached twice a day by two private buses from the village. The nearest road in the direction of Sivas is 20 km away. The main road to Kayseri is 30 km away.
history
The previous name was Bugayirözü. This name is carved on one of seven stones in the mosque. The entries there date from the years 1794, 1799, 1850 and 1869. During this period, Bugayirözü was incorporated into the Tonus district.
On April 18, 1999 Baharözü was appointed to the municipality (tr: Belediye ). In the archives of the Ottoman Empire , the village first appears as Bugirözü, Bagirözu and Bugayir. In the Ottoman Empire, Bugirözu was part of the Tonus district. However, the taxes were paid to Sivas to the "House of Ali Baba". The population consists mainly of Muslims of Turkmen origin.
Emigrants
Around 800 people from Baharözü live in little Switzerland alone. There are also other emigrants in Germany, Austria, France, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Kuwait.
