The Como Nord Lago train station is a terminus in the northern Italian city of Como . It is next to the railway station Como San Giovanni , the smaller of the two main railway stations of the city. It is operated by Ferrovienord , the second largest Italian railway company .

The station was opened on July 5, 1885, when the Como – Varese – Laveno line was opened. In 1898 the line to Saronno was added. In 1966, traffic from Como-Lago was concentrated exclusively on Milan, as the connection to the Laveno-Mombello - Varese - Milan line was lost with the closure of the Grandate - Malnate line . In 2005 the station was used by around 2.5 million passengers.

The station is the starting point of the Como – Saronno – Milan-Cadorna local transport line . The trains are operated by Trenord , a joint venture between Ferrovie-Nord-Milano passenger transport subsidiary LeNORD and Trenitalia . Every hour there is a regional train with stops at all stations to Saronno and an accelerated RegioExpress , which overlap in Como Lago at 19/41 intervals.

In the past, the train station was of great importance in the ferry system on Lake Como. So that trains could be guided from the FS line from Milan to the Como Nord Lago station, a connection line was built between the FS Albate-Camerlata station and the FNM Como Camerlata station, which was closed and dismantled in 1966.

The three-track terminus station is located directly on the shore of Lake Como and at right angles to it. It is roofed with a glass hall and includes a side and a central platform. At the head end the Uferstraße leads past.
