The station Fridingen (near Tuttlingen) is an operating point on the Tuttlingen – Inzigkofen railway line . It is located on the northern edge of the city of Fridingen on the Danube . The station was put into operation in 1890 and has rail connections to the nearby sawmill and the Fridingen hammer mill .

The station building is located south of the tracks on Bahnhofstrasse. It was designed by Josef Schlierholz and built in 1890 in a mixture of neo-Romanesque and Swiss styles. The building is a three-storey solid construction with a rectangular floor plan and an eaves gable roof . The ground floor is clad with tuff , the first and second floors with wood. The building has central projections on the gable sides , the second floor cantilevered over consoles . The station building is a listed building .

Like Hausen im Tal station, Fridingen station has a mechanical signal box of the standard design that was put into operation in the reception building in 1976. The switches , the entry and exit signals , as well as the barriers are set and operated by the dispatcher via wire cables. As an adaptation to the adjoining ESTW Tuttlingen, the station has had a train number reporting system with a separate screen since 2004 . In the direction of Hausen im Tal, train reports are still carried out by telephone.

The station has two main tracks, which are located on a house platform and an intermediate platform. Deutsche Bahn serves Fridingen every two hours with regional express trains between Ulm Hbf and Donaueschingen , and individual pairs of trains on the ring train stop at the station.
