The platform systems of Nauheim station (b Groß Gerau)

The station Nauheim (b Groß Gerau) is the station of the southern Hessian community of Nauheim .

Geographical location

The station is on the Rhein-Main-Bahn ( Aschaffenburg - Darmstadt - Wiesbaden ), which was built in 1858, between the Mainz-Bischofsheim and Groß Gerau stations .

building

The reception building consists of a two-storey, eaves, three-axis central building with two short, one-story side wings made of red sandstone , which were originally both eaves. The roof of the east wing was replaced by a flat roof. The facade of the central building is divided in the middle on both the platform and the street side by a single-axis, gabled central projection.

The signal box (Nf) of the station is a cubic brick building from 1927. The upper floor is generously glazed for the dispatcher , the lower floor has only a few slit-like, narrow windows. The window shapes and the choice of building material were typical of Expressionism, which was modern at the time .

Both buildings are cultural monuments according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act .

business

The station is supported by the Regional line approached RB 75 (in the hourly rush partially every 30 minutes) between Wiesbaden and Aschaffenburg on Mainz and Darmstadt reversed.
