The station Oberbrechen is a breakpoint at kilometer 58.3 of the of Frankfurt (Main) Central Station by Limburg (Lahn) leading Main-Lahn Railway in Brechener district Oberbrechen and next to the train station Niederbrechen one of two stations in breaking. The station is located in the tariff area of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), belongs to station category 6 of the Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) and has two platform tracks .
history
With the construction of the Main-Lahn-Bahn in 1875, there was also a stop in Oberbruch. There has been a station building since 1879 , according to the plan of which the Niederbruch , Niederselters and Bad Camberg stations were built due to the planning costs . The station building is a listed building. In 1913 a second track was built.

The Oberbruch stop now has two tracks, each with a side platform . All trains running on the Main-Lahn-Bahn stop here, with the exception of the RE 20 Regional Express trains.
- Track 1 on the house platform (height: 34 cm, length: 227 m): RB 21 / RB 22 to Limburg (Lahn)
- Track 2 on the side platform (height: 76 cm, length: 212 m): RB 22 to Frankfurt (Main) ; RB 21 to Niedernhausen / Wiesbaden
The two side platforms are connected by a wooden bridge. Due to the risk of slipping, this should be completely renewed in 2013, especially in winter.

In Oberbruch there is a bus connection with the hourly line LM-51 in the direction of Weilburg via Weyer, Münster, Weinbach. Line 285 also travels to Limburg three times a day in the morning .
