The station Niederbrechen is a train station at kilometer 60.8 of the of Frankfurt (Main) Central Station by Limburg (Lahn) leading Main-Lahn Railway in Brechener district Niederbrechen and next to the train station Oberbrechen one of two stations in breaking. The station is located in the tariff area of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), belongs to station category 5 of the Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) and has three platform tracks .
history
With the construction of the Main-Lahn-Bahn in 1875, a stop was also built in Niederbruch ; the station building was built in 1879. In 1913, construction of a bridge for Bahnhofstrasse began. After its completion, the level crossing was closed in the course of Jahnstrasse. When the line was expanded to two tracks in 1913, a signal box was also built . An unloading track for building materials was set up in 1937 for the construction of the Federal Motorway 3 and dismantled again after the motorway was completed. In 1988 a freight hall that was connected to the station was demolished. The new signal box was put into operation on September 26, 1989. The old signal box from 1913 was demolished on October 12, 1989. The construction of an underpass lasted from 1989 to 1991 . In 1992, the railroad crossing was to field district Flachsau closed. The last time goods were handled in Niederbruch in 1993 . 2005 was followed by the removal of a shunting and a siding . The listed station building now houses, among other things, a restaurant and a stationery shop.

Today the Niederbruch station is the only station between Eschhofen and Idstein to have three platform tracks.
