The Baktschar ( Russian Бакчар, Большой Бакчар ) is the right source river of the Chaya in the Russian Oblast Tomsk in western Siberia .

The Baktschar rises in the Wassjuganje swamps. It flows in a northerly direction and after 348 km meets the Parbig , which flows from the west, and joins it to form the Tschaja. The Baktschar drains an area of ​​7310 km². Important tributaries of the Baktschar are Teterenka and Galka , both from the left.

The district administrative center of Baktschar des Baktscharski rajon is named after the river . The village is not on the river itself, but on the right bank of the Galka about 15 km above the mouth.
