Balbeggie is a village in the Scottish Unitary Authority Perth and Kinross and the traditional Scottish county of Perthshire . It is located about seven kilometers northeast of Perth and about 21 km west of Dundee . In 1991 Balbeggie had 782 inhabitants, which means a significant increase in population. So in 1971 only 325 and 1961 and 284 people lived there.
At the end of the 19th century there was a Presbyterian church and a school for 120 students in Balbeggie. The latter was attended by an average of 68 students in 1879. Today Balbeggie is connected to the trunk road network via the A94 , which runs from Perth to Forfar . The closest towns along the road are Scone to the southwest and Coupar Angus to the northeast. Perth Airport is around 700 m to the southwest .
