The Bald Mountain is located in the western part of the Uinta Mountains in Utah . The easiest ascent to the 3640 m high mountain starts from the Bald Mountain Pass . The pass crosses the Uinta Mountains between Bald Mountain and Murdoch Mountain and is the highest paved road link in Utah. Because the climb to Bald Mountain is relatively easy, it is one of the most popular major mountain tours in Utah. The hike to the summit can be completed in a two to three hour hike.
Mountain goats , American potters, and many species of wildflowers live on the mountain .
