Amphoe Ban Kha ( Thai : อำเภอ บ้าน คา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southwest of the Ratchaburi Province . The Ratchaburi Province is located in the west of the central region of Thailand on the border with Myanmar .

geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Suan Phung , Chom Bueng and Pak Tho Ratchaburi Province and Amphoe Nong Ya Plong the province of Phetchaburi . To the west lies the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar.

The most important water resource is the Mae Nam Phachi (Thai: แม่น้ำ ภาชี - Phachi River ). The Chaloem Phra Kiat Thai Prachan National Park is emerging on its left bank and will extend into the neighboring Pak Tho district.

history

On July 1, 1997, the government separated the southern part of the very large Suan Phueng County and established a "Branch County " ( King Amphoe ) from it . He was called "Ban Kha". The current administration building was opened on March 29, 1999.

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

The district of Ban Kha is divided into three tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 40 muban ("villages").

In the district there are three " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Ban Kha (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้าน คา ) consisting of the complete Tambon Ban Kha.
  • Ban Bueng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บ้านบึง ) consisting of the complete tambon Ban Bueng.
  • Nong Phan Chan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง พัน จันทร์ ) consisting of the complete tambon Nong Phan Chan.
