Amphoe Bang Bua Thong ( Thai : อำเภอ บางบัวทอง }, pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː bāːŋ būa tʰɔ̄ːŋ ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Nonthaburi in the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (clockwise from north): Amphoe Lat Lum Kaeo of Pathum Thani Province and Amphoe Pak Kret , Mueang Nonthaburi , Sai Noi and Bang Yai of Nonthaburi Province.

Bang Bua Thong is the terminus of the purple line of the Bangkok Metro . The Thanon Kanchanaphisek (Autobahn 9 / Outer Bangkok Ring Road) also runs through the district .

There are two municipalities with "city" status ( Thesaban Mueang ) in the district:
- Phimon Rat (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง พิมล ราช ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Phimon Rat.
- Bang Bua Thong (Thai: เทศบาล เมือง บางบัวทอง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Sano Loi and the parts of the Tambon Bang Bua Thong, Bang Rak Yai, Phimon Rat, Bang Rak Phatthana.
In addition, there are six " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
- Bang Bua Thong (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บางบัวทอง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Bang Bua Thong.
- Bang Rak Yai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บางรัก ใหญ่ ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Bang Rak Yai.
- Bang Khu Rat (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บาง คู รัด ) consisting of the complete Tambon Bang Khu Rat.
- Lahan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ละ หาร ) consisting of the complete Tambon Lahan.
- Lam Pho (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ลำ โพ ) consisting of the complete tambon Lam Pho.
