The Bankasoka (also Port Loko Creek ) is a river in Sierra Leone .

The Bankasoka is a coastal river which, together with the Rokel , forms the Sierra Leone River estuary about 40 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean , the northern part of which is also known here as Tumbu Lake ( English Tumbu Lake ). The river is also known as Port Loko Creek because the city ​​of the same name is located on the river.

There are three small hydropower plants on the river not far from Port Loko .
