course
The Bankasoka is a coastal river which, together with the Rokel , forms the Sierra Leone River estuary about 40 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean , the northern part of which is also known here as Tumbu Lake ( English Tumbu Lake ). The river is also known as Port Loko Creek because the city of the same name is located on the river.
There are three small hydropower plants on the river not far from Port Loko .
