Barbara Feldon (* 12. March 1933 in Bethel Park in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania as Barbara Hall ) is an American actress .

Life

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1955, Feldon moved to New York to work as an actress. In 1957, her specialty in Shakespeare won the top prize on the knowledge show The $ 64,000 Question , a forerunner to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? . She invested the profit on the stock exchange and then opened a gallery with Lucien Verdoux-Feldon, in 1958 she married her then partner. In the early 1960s she signed an advertising contract for a hair care product with the Revlon company . The provocative commercial she produced for it, in which she rolled out of a tiger skin, was broadcast in all states (?) Nationwide in the United States without her actually becoming known. But one producer noticed the spot, for him Feldon was the ideal cast for the female counterpart (Agent 99) in the comedy series Mini-Max . After a few short appearances in the series East Side / West Side (1964), the wish came true and Barbara Feldon made herself immortal with this role. After the series was discontinued in 1970, however, she was so determined by the Revlon commercial and as a winking secret agent of the type that she was hardly ever offered roles.

After their divorce in 1967, she married producer Burt Nodella the following year , from whom she divorced in 1979. Barbara Feldon remained childless.
