Barbara Hackenschmidt (born May 1, 1955 in Betten ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Between 2015 and 2019 she was again a member of the state parliament of Brandenburg , to which she had already belonged from 2004 to 2014.

Life and work

Barbara Hackenschmidt attended Polytechnic High School in masses . From 1971 to 1973 she completed vocational training as a business clerk. From 1973 to 1978 she studied pedagogy at the Erfurt / Mühlhausen University of Education and graduated as a qualified pedagogue . Hackenschmidt then worked as a teacher from 1978 to 1993 and was looking for work from 1993 to 1995 . During this time she worked in the company "Elektroinstallation & Customer Service Reiner Hackenschmidt". From 1995 to 1999 she worked as an employee of the state parliament member Regine Hildebrandt . From 2000 to 2002 she was employed as a project employee ("external training management") at a company in Finsterwalde and in 2002 took on the role of project manager. She has been self-employed since 2003.

She is divorced, evangelical and has three children.

Political commitment

Hackenschmidt has been a member of the SPD since 1992. In 1998 she became a member of the Elbe-Elster district council and was chairwoman of the district council until 2003. From 1998 to 2015 she was a member of the ASF -Bundesvorstandes and from 2000 deputy to 2015 ASF National Chairman. From 2008 to 2013 she was also a member of the local council of the masses. After the state elections in Brandenburg in 2004 , she moved into the Brandenburg state parliament. She is a member of the Economic Committee for her group . In the state elections in 2009 she initially missed re-entry, but was able to move up after Martin Gorholt's resignation in November 2009. With the decision of the Council of Ministers of the EU of June 22, 2012, which was published on June 28, 2012 in the Official Journal L 168 on page 37, she was deputy in the Committee of the Regions for the State of Brandenburg. After the state elections in Brandenburg in 2014 , she left the state parliament. On November 1, 2015, she replaced the resigned MP Andreas Kuhnert and thus became a member of the 6th Brandenburg State Parliament . She was a member of the Economic Committee and the Committee for European Affairs, Development Policy and Consumer Protection Spokeswoman for Tourism and Europe.

Hackenschmidt is active in various clubs and associations. Within the Protestant Church, she has been a member of the synod of the Finsterwalde church district since 1998 . She is also an honorary member of the advisory board of Verkehrsmanagement Elbe-Elster GmbH, chairwoman of the association for the promotion of cooperation between schools and business in the Elbe-Elster district, chairwoman of the Elbe-Elster educational association, member of the board of "pro agro" and second chairwoman of the Frauenbrücke Ost-West association .
